Taatad: vispaar jau no kameras nenaak aaraa nekaadi rawi ar iesleeptu jpg: tas jpg rodas kad tu konverterii esi kaut ko chikaajis. Ja maakam lasiit, tad te neliels skaidrojums:
Things you should know about DNG
DNG is a container.
DNG holds all that data that proprietary raw files hold.
DNG also holds additional information that allows any third party software to understand where the file came from and how it needs to be processed based on the PIE work done.
DNG can hold a JPEG preview file that accurately reflects the PIE adjustments made to the raw image data. This JPEG preview is controlled by a menu preference in the DNG converter. The ability for a DNG file to hold an accurate JPEG preview (showing updated PIE adjustments) is a unique advantage. Proprietary raw files can only hold the original camera generated JPEG preview—no matter what PIE adjustments are subsequently made to the image. Having an accurate preview built into the DNG file is an important feature if you use cataloging software and wish to view your images as you have adjusted them. These ready made JPEG files can be quickly copied out with certain applications such as PhotoMechanic and Expressions Media Pro. This saves time rather than processing out raw files to JPEG through PIEware.
The JPEG preview, when it exists, can be updated. When and how that is done has some significant workflow implications. We will discuss those shortly when we talk about points of conversion.
Of the three JPEG preview options, the full sized preview option is the best for maximum workflow usefulness. When you select this option, a medium size preview is also created which can allow faster preview rendering in browsers or cataloging applications. avots: www.dpbestflow.org...

nu principa kad skaties uz kameras to rawu jams tak detalizētu rāda ne siiku tjumbaļāri
ta nu vai jamam pašaam ir tas jpg vai jams uz ekrāna rāda raw vai trešais variants konvertē un ta rāda jpg :D

Raw files contain ...
A short file header which typically contains an indicator of the byte-ordering of the file, a file identifier and an offset into the main file data
Camera sensor metadata which is required to interpret the sensor image data. This includes the size of the sensor, the attributes of the CFA and its color profile
Image metadata which is required for inclusion in any CMS environment or database. These include the exposure settings, camera/scanner/lens model, date (and, optionally, place) of shoot/scan, authoring information and other. Some raw files contain a standardized metadata section with data in Exif format.
<b>An image thumbnail<b>
Optionally a reduced-size image in JPEG format, which can be used for a quick and less computing-intensive preview.
In the case of motion picture film scans, either the timecode, keycode or frame number in the file sequence which represents the frame sequence in a scanned reel; this is a most important metadata item, because it allows the file to be ordered in a frame sequence (without relying on its filename).
